Tarpon Week on GoFishn.com

Post by silverking »

For all you tarpon fanatics out there (or wannabes), GoFishn.com is hosting Tarpon Week through Saturday. I'm honored to be the guest editor and I'm posting tips, answers to questions, etc. about silver kings. There's also some great photos posted and an excellent interview with Dr. Aaron Adams of the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust.

If you haven't checked out this site yet, it's free to join. It's an excellent source for everything related to angling, from tips and guides to reports and news.

They is plenty of em in the Ochlockonnee river :o hell, I caught 2 of em around 4 foot long last Sunday, trolling for Reds :smt012 couldn't figure out why my rod would sing for a second or two and then lose the fish untill I finally hooked the first one good enough to land it

In the O River!?!?! lol

and based on skitters post and our last expedition, the monster tarpon run has been pretty good!

Catch Reds all the time trolling  aint near as much fun, but I gots a shoulder problem and when I need ta rest it, I throw out the X-Rap and troll :smt012 I have caught Reds, Bass, Trout, Stripers, Flounder and now Tarpon while trolling in the river "remember y'all, I'm at the Bay end of the river" :smt004 course the Flounder was an even bigger surprise than the Tarpon :o

PS: Y'all are more than welcome to doubt me and not EVER try it :-D
