JUST IN CASE

Post by Sir reel »

Apparently on the recent return trip from Saint Marks Lighthouse back to Tallahassee on Wed, my Abu 6500 on a ugly stick went AWOL. We did not stop anywhere so I don't believe it was lifted by anyone. I had my hands on it when we loaded up on the trailer at the lighthouse. It was spooled with power pro and had a blue bite a bait (I think) lip bait tied on. I remember it because I had one of those plastic boxes that you put the bait into and it snaps onto the rod keeping everything from getting tangled up. I was standing in the boat trying to put the plug into the box when something distracted me with getting the boat ready to travel and I put the rod down in the boat or stood it up against the console or ??? and started helping my son with what he was doing. When we got home I took all the rods (8) out and started rinsing them off with fresh water. I really didn't notice it missing until the next evening when I took the lure box which had been in my pocket and walked out to my shop to put it on the rod. NO ROD...?? Looked all over a couple of times...called my Son to see if he rememberd having his hands on it (nope)...so the only thing I can come up with is that somehow the plug may have come out of the boat, spooled the reel and extracted the rig. Anyway if any one has seen a couple hundred yards of power pro blow'n around on the way to or from the lighthouse, be on the look out for a rig as I described. I guess it's it possible that we set the rig on the ground at the light house but I really don't believe that was the case. I know if anyone from this forum picked it up, I would have heard about it but now you know if you see it or hear about it. Thanks.

Is the reel sorta silver-looking with the word ambassabour written on it? Is the rod blackish except for a 8-inch clear-looking tip?
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
