Carrabelle 9/4 & 9/5

Post by salty tiger »

My partner for the NFGFC tourny backed out at the last minute so I decided to fish it solo. Fished east, west and south of the Belle and never could put together a decent stringer of trout and all of my reds were in the 20 to 23 inch range. With no good fish to weigh I opted to skip Jerry's and headed to the house for some  , and football.

Sunday the plan was to concentrate on reds and it paid off. I threw a pink skitterwalk and a gold Aqua Dream spoon all morning in 1 to 3 ft of water and ended up with around 10 or 15 mostly upper slot reds. Not much can beat watching a red push a wake in a foot of water and nailing a top water plug :D
