The article states that there are many scientists that do not have a clue.
These scientist are much like meteorologists, they convey a 50% maybe it will, maybe it won't probability.
Not one of them said how many thousands of pounds of potentially contaminated seafood one individual would have to consume to become a case study.

Did you not note how many times "Raw Story" was used in the article? This is about getting exposure to "Raw Story". By playing on people's fears, this story will get more exposure. Yes, PAH's can adversely effect your health, yes Benzo-pyrene's can have ill effects, and yes, heavy metals can effect your neurological system. Ironically, water can have the same effects, in fact, too much water drank too quickly can and will kill you.

As we move forward looking at the issues related to the oil spill, there will be a certain sector that will always solely look for "the bad" so that they can prosper (be it newspapers, scientists looking for grants, elected officials running for office, etc).

There has been and there continues to be a lot of sampling going on in our waters and in our seafood, to see what the impacts are. In fact, anybody fishing out of Econfina or St. Marks today may note some sampling teams out there taking water and sediment samples.

I understand that there will be people (and tree huggers) that will go on and on about this story. However, regarding the dispersant Corexit this is some BAD stuff. The toxic level is a mere 2.61ppm. All I know is that a few hundred million gallons of raw crude entered our gulf and a few million gallons of Corexit was used to disperse it. Where it dispersed to.......? Just don't believe everything the brilliant scientist at NOAA have to say. And as far as our wonderful federal government, well I cant remember the last time they told us the truth.
Youtube had some good videos from LSU and UF professors doing their own independent studies on this issue. Search Corexit.
