It shows you where you are and can show you where you have been....

I'm pretty sure the 78sc evolved from GPSMAP 76CS, which has served me well for many years.

As far as I can tell, the 78cs is the best of the series that includes the 78, the 78s, and 78sc. What is the difference (besides the price)? As far as I can tell the s and sc have an barometer and an electronic compass (that works even when sitting still). The sc has pre-loaded coastal charts.

You will have no need for the share waypoints wirelessly feature, because we all already know all your holes.
