Charleston, SC 1/15-1/17

Post by ddb »

Had a long weekend so I made the drive to Charleston to do some fishing with my nephew. He's establishing a charter business and always treats me well. We had some good low tides in the middle of the day and were able to fish some pretty skinny water. He fishes out of a 16' Action craft, he poles, I fish, what a deal. We threw soft plastics on flutter hooks and jig heads. We were able to get into some great schools of fish, some of which we could coax into eating, some not. Here's a few pics for your enjoyment:

They've got quite a fishery. I was trying out three rods I just got done building and we really put them to the test.

I guess you can keep 3 pp between 15 and 23 up there, but my nephew like most of the guides up there is a catch and release guy. I did manage to get him to keep a couple that baked up nicely with some Tony's Creole spicing on em :lick:
