Fishing St. Marks 2/4

[The David]

We put in at the fort at around noon yesterday and headed towards the power plant. Not too much luck. Picked up a small trout on the way there, and landed one short red near the plant, he had some nice spots on him, too bad he was so small . The trout was caught on a D.O.A. Cal Shad split tail, on a swim bait hook. The Red was caught on a piece of shrimp. We threw all sorts of soft plastics on jigs, and I even threw a topwater for a little bit, just for kicks. Saw a couple of guys pull in a couple of good size fish just past the "resume normal speed" sign. Overall, a cold, foggy day. But it is so pretty out there you cant help but have fun. Even if our boat leaks haha. We are heading out again tomorrow, I will post the results, good or bad when we get back.
