Early Registration NFGFC Tournaments
I ask the following question last Thursday at the Club meeting: If you submit the completed registration form and pay the applicable monies for non members, side pots, etc and one of your partners can't make it at the last minute, do you receive a refund? The response per the Tournament Director was pretty much in keeping with the Club rule that there are no cancelations except for weather and no refunds.
There are no other rules related to partner no show's, for what ever reason, etc. I had my registration filled out, signed for myself and 2 other partners, along with the correct amount of cash which I made sure I stopped and picked up before I got there. After the disscussions I decided to wait until tournament morning even though I would have preferred to get it done at the meeting. Found out today that one of my partners broke his colar bone Saturday in a bike accident.
He's got his left arm strapped to him (he's left handed) and the Doctor told him no bikes for 12 weeks. I haven't talked with him but I suspect no cork fling'n either. Don't even want to think about having a situation where he might have to swim or have a fall.
Even though I would like to have the option of registering prior to the morning of the tournament, I would have to say I'm in favor of accepting registrations ONLY on the morning of the tournament. I believe it would be an easier administration process over all and eliminate any fuss'n should this sort of accident or other unavoidable no show happen (vehicle break down, etc.) (jmo) and 2 cents

Why would you want to fling a cork?Sir reel wrote:haven't talked with him but I suspect no cork fling'n either.

Cause under the circumstances somebody might settle for back hand'n one with their off hand just to get into the fray. Accuracy ain't as important.

Re: Early Registration NFGFC Tournaments
i'm in favor of the early registration to save time sat morning and for some of the ones that have to work til 8 that morning but wanna go fish after .
Re: Early Registration NFGFC Tournaments
Late registration would seem to make early registration obsolete.
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
Re: Early Registration NFGFC Tournaments
After some thought I am going to leave early registration in place it is mainly for the folks who know they are fishing the tournaments, not the undecided they can pay the morning of scheduled tournament.

Good call, TD. That makes it convenient for both camps.

Re: Early Registration NFGFC Tournaments
Because you will be the only one paying at the ramp.
Everyone else is going for early registration.

WHOSE FISH IS IT?
Re: Early Registration NFGFC Tournaments
Short line, should be quick and easy.
The first one in the registration line on tournament morning will be the first to weigh in. I'll be back in Tallahassee while your butt is still parked on your cooler wait'n to weigh in your 3 fish with a combined length of 45 inches
