Wanted -- Step Ladder

Post by big bend gyrene »

Needing a step ladder for use in changing out bulbs in a 15 foot ceiling... accordingly need a 10' step ladder or even bigger if anyone has one lying around unused.

Wanting to avoid spending full price on a new one, as some big recent expenses have me counting pennies. :smt010

Anybody got extra pennies sitting around they want off their hands I'll take them too!
:D  salute1

And I appreciate you can buy much cheaper pole w/suction cup setup for changing bulbs but need the ladder for some other work too.

BBG,
Keep in mind that you will not be using the top step of the ladder. With your up-stretched arms realistically you will only reach 6 1/2 feet. All of this means you will probably need a 12 or more foot stepladder.

FF, I'm a tall fella -- almost 6'3" so I can reach up a ways. :-D Joking aside, I used a contractor's 10' ladder the other day without going to the top step and it was comfortable though a 12' would absolutely be better.

Bman, you know me... always looking for an excuse to put friends on the cobes, but be careful with the "borrow"-- plan on having need for the ladder for years to come, my friend.

Love the LED letters, Bman... but after looking at 'em have to ask... you got some pennies you can give me? :smt010

Measured ceilings this afternoon just to be sure... good news is that they're only 12' and I was able to use the contractor's 8' step ladder and get the job done.

Hoping that someone on the board has an 8' step ladder lying around unused. If you do, shoot me a pm and name your price.
