Chumming idea..
Got this from another board.
You can get fish started by soaking chunks of cinder block in Menhaden oil and droping them over. The cinder block will release scent for a long time. This is a very efficient way to chum compared to most. The Menhaden oil floats so it will attract fish from the entire water column and not feed fish in the process.

I've been thinking about chum ideas too. That one sounds interesting. Kayak bound as I am I'm thinking about inshore chumming ideas.
There's this guy who keeps coughing around my office.
I'm not feeling so good right now...

hmmmmmmm. Very interesting. Like the idea of chumming in the same location.
If you don't have any old burger or leftover bait, how about soaking towels in the menhaden oil overnight. We know they are super absordent. drop over board. Fish won't get anything to like the cinder block chunks,
but the scent will be there to bring the fish in. Maybe even paper towels. The little fish will nibble and break off little pieces that will carry the scent further away.
