Went on Sunday, got to Fenholloway about 11:30 and tide was still a bit low, went and fished 2-3 ft between Hickory Mound and Rock island, was kinda slow and the wife wanted to just get Sun so I was fishing alone for the most part. Caught about 8 keepers in an hour and a half or more, no shorts. Went in closer to find a red and couldnt buy one in that area for some reason. Decided to head toward Spring Warrior and try a few creeks. First creek yielded a nice upper to over slot red that spit the hook while being netted, then did a courtesy fly-by past the boat in his way out of the creek. Caught a couple smaller ones to about 24, (wife had the 24, go figure.) Moved to another spot to try a few more trout picking up a few here and there but no real action. Great day to be on the water though.

How far is that run from Hickory mound to spring warrior? We were on the other side of econfina and had good luck. Trout were not huge but nice and fat.

Just saw on the FOS website they closed the area from Redfish Pt to Spring Warrior to all boat traffic from now until April 27. Severe fines :smt006

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
