First trip out this year, didn't have a partner so went solo. Got out about 0930, the water is stained and has lots of floating moss and grass. I wonder if some of the bad storms we had recently tore the bottom up. A brisk north wind, no bites until I saw something jump near the boat and threw to it. Got a solid hit and line stripping off the reel, landed a nice 3-4 lb. Spanish. Not a bad start. Caught a few short bass and a short trout, decided to go out deeper and went to 7 ft. Got 3 nice keeper trout there, several shorts. By noon everything quit, moved around and caught a 12.5'' seabass and a big sailcat, few ladyfish mixed in. There is just about any kind of fish you can catch out there right now. :-? Ate lunch and moved back out to the 7 ft. water, put a CT rig out and hooked and lost a good trout. Threw back in same spot and got another keeper. It was 2 pm and the bite stopped again so I decided to go in. I got a real good mess of fish to fry this weekend, had a great first trip. Good to be on the flats again. :smt004
