Keaton 4/14 - 4/15

Post by bigblister »

Went down on Thursday and was in the water at 4PM. Had some buddies from work with me and made for a great time.

We went north to Spring Warrior and picked up a few before the sun went down. Here is Sonny with a nice 18" trout.

NOAA completely missed the forecast and we awoke to 10-15 knot winds which increased to a sustained 20 knot wind in the afternoon. We went down south for the day and picked up some nice fish; however, the action was pretty slow. I was expetcting to pick up a few more fish. Typically we catch a good amount of shorts but almost every trout we caught was a keeper. We fished with everything from live shrimp, gulps, spoons and pin fish. Water temp hovered around 71-73 degrees with crystal clear wate to the south and slightly stained to the north.

Here's a few pics from the trip:

A good report even though the weather was wrong. Glad you did catch some fish!

Thanks for the FISHING REPORT!

We are planning on fishing Friday out of Keaton.
