Went to Keaton on friday with my 2 best fishing partners my 6 year old son ( who i let play hookey from school) and my dad. I checked the forcast and rain was a chance for the am so we got a late start and put in about lunch time. We were greeted with a strong wind and choppy sea but it beat being at work. Headed to spring warrior, saw alot of boats gathered up around the bird rack just outside of keaton channel, changed my mind and stopped at adams beach first in about 3 foot of water. not much happening so we moved to a spot a little further to sw and a little deeper about 6.5 foot. We stopped and the action started picked up 1st keeper trout (15") and several shorts in a few minutes then the rock bass decided to get in on the action caught several rock bass with 2 going on most 15" (my biggest rock bass to date). We made several more drifts and picked up couple more 15"-16" trout before the action slowed. Then headed for sw got in behind the oyster bars but got no love on the red fish. Did manage couple more trout in there. Headed back toward keaton stopped off at a new spot and turned out to be a good one, my son picked up the 2 largest trout of the day back to back, both being 17.5". We stayed there until the bite seem to turn off a little after 5 so we headed in. We ended the day with 10 trout and and some nice rock bass. The water was choppy and the wind was blowing all day. Most fish came under a cork with a gulp (white) or a pin fish. I did manage 3 on a 5'" manns swim bait blue/white. We had a great day and i am ready to go back. (no pics this tme)
p.s. thanks for all the response on the prop ?
