How do you guys look for deep water trout? Now, when I say deep water trout I mean from 5 to 8 feet. I know this time of the year, shallow water is pretty
warm, and trout tend to like to go to deeper water some mainly because of the cool water, and or close to river where freshwater is gushing in.
Do you guys just look for turtle grass around 5 feet and start drifting or do you look for anything else?

Fished last week Appalach bay in 2-4 and struck out completely on trout. Bunch of lady fish.
Started fishing surf side on day 3 and wore out Pomp, Trout, and of course Whiting.
