NFGFC August Tourney Results

We had a good turnout for the August Tourney 19 Teams showed up at the New Lanark Market/Marina Store ready to catch some fish. With the forecast to be HOT was surprised of the turnout.

The Team of Brian Showman and Matt Cramar took top honors with 10.31 lbs worth $220.00.

2nd Place went to the Team of Steve Taylor and John Vickers weighing 5 Trout at 9.70lbs worth $132.00.

3rd Place went to the Team of Chuck Collins and Jeff Trant with there 5 Trout weighing 9.68 lbs worth $88.00.

Chuck Collins caught the Biggest Trout of the tournament weighing 4.28 lbs worth $190.00.

Matt Cramar caught the 2nd Biggest Trout weighing 3.14 lbs worth $50.00 courtesy of Tom Wheeler of Custom Detailing.

Josh Duque won the Big Redfish Pot with a 6.33lb Red worth $330.00.

The Badcock and More Mystery fish was won by Bob Hoelzle with a Lady Fish that weighed 2.48pds worth $100.00 courtesy of Jay Evans and Badcock and More.

There was no Flounder weighed in for the Kevin’s Big Flounder $50.00 Gift Card from Kevin’s.

The Team of Brad Castleberry,Rick Bushatz and Dalton Castleberry won Biggest Trout/Red combo with 7.32lbs worth $80.00.

Current Leader for the Matthew’s Fishin Stix Big Redfish of the year Matt Cramer 7.95 lbs.
Current Leader for the Matthew’s Fishin Stix Big Trout of the year Jeff Trent 5.80 lbs.

The Next Tournament will be held at the Econfina River State Park Boat Ramp.

Slight correction on the Big Redfish pot - it was won by my Nephew, Josh Duque. We all had a great time and are looking forward to next month. Carson has that Lanark General Store looking great!

Team Never 2 Late didn't catch a fish to weight, but we still fished the tournament. Ask me how I know, it was hot as you know what at the weigh in. Just Didn't see us on the board.

Thanks to Carson as well as Ashely and Mattew. We had a blast. The 'dogs and burgers really hit the spot. We should have the pics up on the NFGFC shortly. A great area with plenty of shade that Carson ha built adjacent to the ramp.
