Boat wax

Post by Mister Mullet »

Any recommendations for an easy-to-apply boat wax. It's a new decade, time to wax the boat whether it needs it or not. :(

Hopefully Tom Wheeler will chime in with his choice, but I have been using 3M Scotchgard Marine Liquid Wax and it's great. Not cheap, but a little goes a long ways. Easy to apply, buffs out without a lot of elbow grease and leaves a long-lasting shine. Really beads the water and resists dirt.

Meguiars makes some good stuff, too.

check out rejex

I have been using it for years. apply it once a year. makes cleaning the outside of the boat a snap. my boat has no waterline stain and I have never had to use snow bowl or any other hull cleaner. Keep it at shell island fish camp and we used it about every weekend

Collinite is good wax. Its all I use now. There are several sources on-line that carry it. The cleaner and wax will bring a boat back to life.

Anybody know where to get Rejex around Tallahassee? I've tried Wal-Mart, Ace Hardware (a tip I had gotten) and discount auto so far... Don't want to pay the shipping and suffer the wait to get it on line...
