A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
Just a proud Papa bragging on my graddaughter. The Movie "Courageous" hits the theaters Sept 30th. My eleven-year-old granddaughter Lauren Ansley Etchells has a staring roll in the movie. She had to travel from Sylvester, Georgia to Orlando, Florida and compete against a lot of other girls for the part, but she got it. Hope ya'll go see it.

Congratulations! A friend of mine went to the private screening of this movie at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. He said it will change your life and if you have kids you should not miss it. Can't wait to see it!
CSMarine, Lauren does an excellent job in the movie. I attend Sherwood with her and she is just as nice a girl at church as she is in the movie. You should be proud! As far as the movie, it is what we as fathers need right now in this country, we need to turn our hearts back to our children and teach them the things that we seem to be missing in this nation. Things like integrity, character, morals, and of course the love of fishing and the outdoors. I have two little girls, 6 and 3, and both have made a few trips with me to Econfina. I plan on bringing my 6 yr old this coming Saturday down there to fish for the first time since late July, that is after I go to the theatre Friday night to see "Courageous" again.
All, if you don't have plans for Friday night yet, come join me in Albany at 6pm to see Lauren, Ken, and the entire cast in the opening weekend of "Courageous". You won't be dissapointed.
Just as proud of her for the way she lives off the screen as well as her roll in the movie. All I have for bragging rights is her love for fishing the Gulf which I'm sure came from me. The rest of her many talents she got from her mother and grandmother. Her first time on the Gulf was actually before she could walk, just like the rest of my children and grandchildren. We start them early in my family.
Now that you've seen the movie, you can see how hard it was for me to set through without getting teary eyed.
BTW, I see your from Warwick, I used to live on Five Ash Pond. Best Bass fishing pond I ever fished on.
