Carpe Carp Diem! -- Video

Those who follow the board closely know KyTrkyHntr regulary shares great area fishing reports, fishing videos, and his own home-brewed carp-catching photos.

A week ago I read one of his carp reports and laughed at the pro-pose he shared, a close-up of his mug next to one of his carp's mug, a sure way to make one's self look a good deal better! :wink: :lol:

Well, finished reading his report and headed out for a run and when the first song on my playlist started I thought, "THAT'S IT! That's THE PERFECT SONG for a KyTrkyHntr carp-fishing video!" Threw this one together super fast so not too many editing bells and whistles, but hope y'all enjoy it nonetheless! :-)

KyTrkyHntr, if you enjoyed it that means mission accomplished! :thumbup: :beer: :-D

And have to say this for the humorous song pic... not an iota of disrespect for the carp fishing intended! Just sense from your posts you've got a humor that fits pretty well with the song (as do I)! :lol: Being completely honest, piecing the brief clip together and pulling in the spinning reel footage has me itching to give the carp a try! Looks like a true blast!!!

Carp and I actually go a ways back. Grandparents had an old log cabin near Claytor Lake in Virginia and I can remember seeing huge carp there as a wee lad and begging my dad for us to go after them. We fished for big family gatherings then, so bluegills and catfish were our targets and he never gave in to my carp request. So to a degree the beasts have haunted my dreams, making me... yes... a bit insane in the mem-brain! ;-)

You record boating & casting footage & want me to update, I'll gladly do so! :smt023 salute1

:smt005 Perfect song (as I am a whack job) and NO disrespect taken at all!! :thumbup: Heck, I'm getting my sight fishing fix almost every weekend!!! Can't beat that with a stick!! :-D It's been alot of fun stalking these dudes and watching how they operate. Very ugly & intelligent fish.... You need to give it a try! They will give you a good pull, but they will also get in your head after you have about a dozen either spook or turn off your fly!!! Drives me insane!! :wink:

I'm gonna try and get on the water this weekend and I'll work on getting some footage so you can work your magic!! :wink: :lol:
