left keaton about 8:00 last friday and headed toward spring warrior, stopped a few times along the way with no luck. Fished most of the day between sw and rock island and had very few bites, but saw alot of baitfish. We fished from 1' out to 8' with what few fish we caught coming in 4' to 6' range. Headed back toward Keaton around 2 and stopped out in front of Adams beach, First trout of the day came in the boat, we started picking up several trout most short and nothing to right home about. We did not keep any as it was late in the day and i was already set on not cleaning fish. There was floating grass everywhere but a beautiful day on the water. We fished with live pin fish free lined and under a ct, with no bites we also fished gulp under ct with very little luck, most all the trout we caught came on a new penny gulp bouncing off bottom in 4' to 6'. I also throwed top water, regular grub, and soft and hard jerk baits with no luck. I had not had a chance to get on the water for a month or so with little league football starting up so it was nice just to get out there and enjoy the day with my son and dad, hope yall can use something out of the report and have a chance to get out there.

Good report. Sorry you didn't have better luck. You sure gave it a good effort.
