I put my cameras out the first week of October. October 7th is when I started getting bucks to show up. Small 4's and 6's at first between the hours of 4 - 7:30am. 2 weeks later, a nice 8pt. was caught walking at 7:30am. No does during this time. October 23rd, first doe on camera. Since the 23rd, no bucks on camera, all does. Now I've got multiple does showing up together almost daily. Still no bucks. Does are moving through all hours of the night and early morning from 7pm - 9:30am.
Anybody got an idea as to what the bucks are up to and why they would just disappear like this? I'm hunting over in Jefferson County close to the GA line. Rut is usually late November into the first 2 weeks of December. Regardless, we're sitting Saturday morning and will be getting a look for ourselves. Just not used to this kind of activity.....
