11/26 - Tribute to a Gator

Post by cotton »

I don't often post here with the boat folks. But, I thought I owed it to this Gator. A fish like this deserves a little love. He was caught in 18 inches of water over a muddy bottom on Saturday. I unsucessfully tried everything to save him. He completely swallowed my topwater lure. This would be his last fight. He measured 26 1/2 inches. Hopefully we will see a few more in the coming weeks.

I also caught a 22 and 23 on the same day.

Tough day to be a Gator.
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
