Dilemma.....

Post by Chalk »

My boss stopped me this morning and said Jim you fish in the gulf, right? :o A lump formed in my throat, thinking he is fixing to say he wanted me to take him; the pressure was coming on quick. :smt087

However, he said he wanted to take his father and two sons out on a charter. Even though I am not taking him fishing, he wants a recommendation on a charter, less pressure, but now my faith lies in the hands of my recommendation. :smt095

I need a dead ringer, a sure thing, I know its fishing but it’s the boss, my boss. Any recommendations would be appreciated, since I have no personal experience with the local offshore guides. :smt100

Would appreciate any recommendations, PM me or post here
:smt023

Thanks, Chalk

That is the range Steinhatchee to Carabelle.....

Here is who I was going to recommend:
Capt Jay Wadsworth
Capt Tom Stephens
Capt Brian Smith

Any others?

In no particular order, made those choices from reports I had read....

Chalk, when we charter for offshore trips I use Captain Steve Sharp "Capt Steve". Name of his boat is the Blow III. I've used him 4 times in the last year and a half or so and have limited out every time on Grouper with deck hands 5. Six of us go at a time, I think about 110.00 a piece. Only one trip we did not limit out but close. He will keep going till you get fish. Mostly Grouper and Snapper, Snapper not starting till mid April I think. He is out of Carol's Bayside Marina, now I think its called Bayside Marina. Near Mashes Sands. He's got 32 foot Island Hopper, about 3 years old. Your boss may not want to use him for the price, lack of people to fill in for the full amount he charges etc....-location. Anyway good luck that would suck to be in your position. His number 984-5839 :smt105
