Advise Needed

Post by Charlie P »

I really need your advice on a serious problem: I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs: if the phone rings and I answer, the caller hangs up; she goes out with the girls a lot. I try to stay awake to look out for her when she comes home but I usually fall asleep.

Anyway, last night about midnight I hid in the garage behind the boat where I could observe through a crack in the garage door. When she came home she got out of someones car buttoning her blouse, then she took her panties out of her purse and slipped them on. It was at that moment, crouched behind the boat, that I noticed a hairline crack in the mounting bracket for my outboard. My question is: Can I weld it or do I need to replace the whole bracket?

Doesn't sound to me like that is the hairline crack you need to be focusing on.

I am assuming it is an aluminum boat. If so, then you need to weld it. I would not trust a rivet to hold my motor.
P.S. I wouldn't trust your wife around any of your tackle. She and her boyfriend are probably the ones who cracked your motor bracket.

A little dab of JB-Weld ought to do it. :smt047
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

JB-Weld on "both hairline cracks" will fix both of your problems, I'm just saying.... :smt005

Yes it is a hair line crack but I have filled the void nicely. No need to worry yourself about it any more.

I say don’t worry about the crack let your wife and her new boyfriend fix it. They will wind up owning your boat in the end.
