Left public ramp at about 10:00, got out into channel to stiff west-southwest wind howling about 20+. Decided to stay close to the channel, turned north out of channel right at marker five. Sylvia's first cast, drifting behind the boat, resulted in a 15.5" trout within 3 minutes. Second cast-16" trout. Third cast, a short. Few minutes later, a nice 17" trout:
Wind began to really blow, and we picked up a few more shorts. Decided to head to the hill about 11:30, but nothing biting and wind howling and fog rolling in, Ms. Pat talking about a squall line coming through.
Final tally-3 keepers, 15.5-17", 3 shorts. The key was to fish live shrimp-slow... Got to run the boat, and finished "our part" of the land deal. Better than fertilizing the lawn and training our bodyguards.
