fishing partner
Hello fellow members,I am new to the site and I am in search of fishing partners. My friends are not much into fishing.looking for people who enjoy fishing and are willing to share the cost of a fishing trip.I have fished around econfina and keaton.I have been out of flats fishing for a couple years so I may be a little rusty.I have a 16ft center console boat that I fish out of and it is very economical to run.I live in valdosta so anyone interested send me a message.Any helpful info from you guys who have been fishing lately would be greatly welcome! Thanks in advance!

Re: fishing partner
Wish my brother lived closer. He needs a pardner. I have the best pardner a man could have, my wife. We live south of you and fish Keaton about every week. What route do you take to Keaton?

Went out with a friend yesterday. Hit the ramp at about 8:50am. First two spots, no luck, but the water looked great. Next spot my buddy loes an upper slot Red to an aged mono failure. (I bet he will get some new line today). Next spot produced an 18.01" Red for me, back it went, and a 15" Red for mu buddy. Then out to deeper water in search of Trout and Sea Bass. Both cooperated from the start. We caught six or eight Trout, all short, and about twenty Bass, six keepers.
All in all a great day.
We used Topwater, spoons, soft plastics, and Gulp shrimp. Water temp was 76 and wind from the east about 10-15 all day.

Re: fishing partner
Ecofina -- this AM -- launch at 8:30 AM - water 79 degrees -- seas six inches to flat -- Fished about three miles of points and shorelines -- all artificials (gold spoon and topwater) -- Caught four reds -- all under the slot -- missed one slot fish at the boat -- Water was clear on the outisde but stained on the inside. Had about equal results on the plugs. Not too much bait around. Did not fish for trout...

I was probably across the dock from you on the Trutta SS- 421 at that same time. Was there during the Cuban missile crissis. Loved that Key West duty!!! Came across three other Trutta guys up here around Gainesville, we are getting a "get to gether" in July....SS-342 wrote:grassman:
