Re: NFGFC JULY 7 TOURNAMENT ROLL CALL
What if we are fishing the BBSC and have fished all night can our fish count that was caught after 06:15 or can we not fish the tourney because we would have left port before then?

good question Ashley. Hobbs and I plan on participating, but the answer to this question may have an effect.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

Here's a suggestion...
Move the club tourney to Steinhatchee and designate the scallop as the Mystery Fish.

Due to the start time of the BBSWC, any memmbers wishing to fish both tournaments may only weigh fish caught after safe light. The ramp boundaries are staying the same. Anglers may launch at any ramp from Lanark store to East Point and may launch at any time but can not weigh any fish caught before safe light. The weigh in will be at C-quarters.

Move the club tourney
That would've been the smart move.

To what avail?
Maybe look at a calendar sometime & not schedule the club tournament for the same weekend as one the biggest tournament in the area. But do whatever y'all want. What does someone with a marketing background know.

Re: NFGFC JULY 7 TOURNAMENT ROLL CALL
It must be way in the background.
Club tournament dates for the year are set in January.
BBSC is traditionally Fathers Day weekend in JUNE.
Fathers Day weekend is the 3rd Saturday in June.
Club tournaments are the 1st Saturday after the 1st Thursday each month.
Consideration given to major holidays.
BBSC changed their date after the Feds closed grouper season for June.
Over the past 10 years there have been many annual tournaments held the same day as NFGFC tournaments.
There has been several club members entering both tournaments that day without conflict other than weigh in location.
BBSC participants can fish from blast off Friday until 7 pm Saturday.
NFGFC is allowed to make tournament specific rules.
One rule exception was made for this tournament that allows you to be on the water before safe light.
Not any big deal.
