Could somebody give some basic instruction on reaching the mouth of the Aucilla River without losing a lower unit? I use the last landing preceeding the mouth.
Keeping to the right, and taking a left at the fork seemed to look alright, but I was in a jon boat. Now I want to take my Lowe out to those flats, but not damage anything.
Any pointers are appreciated.
Aucilla Navigation, again....

In the winter go at high tide and go slow. Seriously, in the winter there is no safe route at planing speed. Take the right side of the island and stay in the middle. Do not cut across any points. The channel is on the eastern side of the river at the mouth. Jerry's B&T sells laminated map cards for the Aucilla and Econfina that should get you through OK.
