Not sure if this is a re-post, but I missed it . . . It happened last Monday night down in Fort Myers.

The link doesn't work but I saw the news report. The kid was swimming when an 11 foot gator approached him in the water. He tried to reach out and grab it under the lower jaw like the long haired guy on tv does and it didn't turn out well for the kid. The gator grabbed his arm and ripped it off. I figured it was only a matter of time until the guy or someone trying to imitate him got hurt or killed. I can't remember his name but he was in some of the Jackazz movies. He's really dangerous with the way he approaches gators and this kid lost his arm trying to do what he had seen the guy do on tv. The gator might have still attacked him but by putting his hand right there by it's mouth he pretty much sealed his fate.

OK, I found his web site for his show Savage Wild. The guy's name is Manny Puig. This is the exact move the kid that lost his arm described trying to imitate.

That is a good thing, because they have a picture of the alligator with the kids arm in it's mouth.
Ill try to find the picture again.. may be not....

Oh I saw the picture on your post when I opened it. Fortunately I'm not squeamishness since you could clearly make out thehand, arm, and elbow joint. Thelink took me to the news site but the news story just wasn't there anymore. Fox had removed or replaced it. I saw the initial report on Fox where they interviewed the kid and he described trying to grab the gator by the lower jaw. He didn't say at the time he was copying Manny but you know he was. He said when he reached out for the gator that the gator grabbed him up to his forearm and took him under. He smiled and said he had to sacrifice his arm to save his life, like he had done something brave.
