A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I've been fishing Bald Point most of June and July and have had mixed success - lots of ladyfish, croakers, a few short reds and short trout. Today was pretty much the same, except I got two flounder, one at 12.5" caught down from the fishing pier at the mouth of the little creek there, and one nice 21" flounder caught off the grass flats on the beach side. Also picked up1 short trout and 5 croaker on the fly, around 10" - 12"; they fight pretty good for little fish. Everything was caught on polar flash clousers, green/chart over pearl. Got a visit from the man in the gray suit - 3' - 5' shark hit some mullet about 15 yards from where I was wading.
And through all the trash you may get wading there, that flounder definitely makes it worth it. well done!
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
