I ran David Gibbs out of our neighborhood about a year ago- he was on
a bike and asking if I had any yard work he could do.
I had a bad vibe and called the Sheriffs office. They sent and officer
out and he confirmed David was wanted in South Carolina but Florida
does not have an extradition agreement with them. They thought he was
involved with some burglaries but didn't have enough evidence to
arrest him.

Then a month later saw him at Publix and caught him shoplifting. He
got away before the Police Officer at Publix could find him.

He is back in town. Showed up at a friends house off Park Ave this week.

TPD and LCSO says he has been tied to a number of burglaries and is
now wanted in two states, Georgia and South Carolina.
He poses as a handy man, goes door to door, asking for money.
He is likely casing homes for burglaries. Be cautious and call the
police if seen.

Thanks for the info bman, need to get the scum of the earth off our streets so we can worry about the important things in life. If this guy or any of the rest like him truly needed help that would be one thing, but they are sorry lazy scum and need to be delt with accordingly.

I called LCSO and they sent someone to check out what he was doing.
He had stopped at one of my friend's homes and gave them a story asking for money- they did not give him any.

He now sports a long pony tail...

I'd like to know how the conversation went. Did you flag him down and call him by name?

He saw me following him and tried to cut through a dead end... walked up and said, "Why are you following me?"
I replied, "Because I know who you are and I don't want you in my neighborhood."
He stormed off....

It appears he's doing well enough under the current administration to have a phone.
Wish I could say more, but don't want you to have to censor your own post by moving it to the political thread!
