Boat
Considering a new boat. Have one in view. What do you guys think of a 2011 Key West 177 SK with 70 HP 4 Stroke, Yamaha? It has magic tilet alum trailer, Eagle fish finder, on board battery charger, new 24 volt Riptide trolling motor. Asking 15,788.00. I want something for fishing out of Ecofina, Steinhatchee, and St. Marks on the flats inshore only. I just want to be safe and maybe get in close at times for a red fish. Thanks for any replies. - Daybreak

Re: Boat
Your going to get multiple opinions on this I am sure, and the boat you have picked out is a good boat, but I would get an aluminum hull for fishing the areas you mentioned.

Re: Boat
+2 on an all welded aluminum hull. I've got a 1966 G3 CC all welded. I've owned two other G3's prior to this one and no issues and quite pleased with G3. SeaArk is also a great boat and built like a tank. I'd look in the 18' + range and buying in the next say 4 or 5 months is a great time to buy.

Re: Boat
That's a decent price and Tom makes a good point. However that new Yamaha F70 is a bad dude! I would be curious how it handled on that boat. I know people who have the new F70 on G3's and swear by that motor.

Re: Boat
The weight of the new F70 is the same as the old 2 smoker 70 hp. At least i was told that by Mike's. As I found out with 4 strokes the right prop is yo' fren'.
