New research boat at the FSU marine lab

Post by bman »

The new 65-ft FSUCML research vessel. On the bow are the three primaries in getting this built: David LeCompte (GEO SHIPYARD), Andy Lebet (DEJONG AND LEBET MARINE ARCHITECTS), and Captain Rosanne Weglinski (FSUCML).

That would make one heck of a bottom fishing boat!

That's an odd hull design, unless that bottom portion is just a cradle to hold it while under construction.

We do a lot of their land surveying out there, and it looks like they are going to need to dredge the channel....
