St. Andrews 10/13/12

Post by Chalk »

Hit the bay for a few hours Friday afternoon - bay still very tanic, but cleaning up in areas. Saw about 20 reds on Friday - only one eater though. Was going to fish a local tournament, but Joseph wanted to fish & I would have been running around with my head on fire vice spending a good day with my son.

We launched around 0700 on Saturday morning & headed out in search of some tight lines. First stop resulted in two reds....one came off & the other broke off while I had my head up my azz :hammer:

Headed in search of some new water....found a few keeper trout. Then spied some blue crabs on the sand...so in the spirit of keeping Joseph entertained....I chased a few down.

Made a big run east.....to catch one more red & miss another one. Basically fished from the pass the Farmdale....caught some fish & crabs...released them all to fight again another day. Had a blast with my son, BSAM ran like a champ....I slept like a champ last night....good day for all.

Nice Report! Love fishing East Bay with my dad, California Bayou has always been one of our "hotspots" for reds. :-D
