For free and ease us use SeaTow can't be beat.

The Navionics app is $10 and has a killer gps that is every bit as good as my Garmin.
It's tide chart is interactive so you can slide along the graph and see the exact time the tide turns... Not just high and low.

Marine weather by Bluefin is good for marine weather. And Fly to maps: tides and currents, is also a good one.... for tides and currents. Both free.

Hey guys, since you were asking about tides and such, I thought I'd pass along a useful link. The Northwest Florida Water Management District maintains real time river stage and rainfall stations from Leon to Escambia Co. The St. Marks station is located at the fort and is a great resource to see how the tide is moving and the current water temp. Click on a name and you'll be taken to a page dedicated to that station and its real time info, click on the station name again and it'll take you to a google map with it's location.

Thanks for the link, pretty cool. I guess conductivity indicates salinity which probably coincides with tides pretty close.
