Don't know a whole lot about hunting them, but I know I could shoot one if someone needed me to.

My daughter, Catherine, is in to hunting deer and turkey. This guy is a pet and not to be consumed! His name is Sam. :D

Heard a lone gobbler this morning in a spot I have heard 5 different birds on the same morning. He was in a good position. I probably will not be able to hunt Saturday morning, so I will do an afternoon private land hunt. But then it is on. Good luck everyone.

Lots of gobbling and yelping in the trees but next to nothing once they all hit the ground. We had a gobbler come in silent at 7:45 at 50 and saw me move before I saw him and he walked off. had a single loud hen (15 yds) and a silent gobbler (45 yds) come at 8:45 at a different setup. pretty strange, the gobbler left the hen with us and walked off after 10 minutes. the hen stayed with us for 20 more minutes and left. We hunted until 10:15 and then had to leave. My daughter was going to the field trial and we had to go. it was a great time with my youngest and we'll be back.

Had 5 gobblers slip in on me opening morning. Gun pointed in the direction they were gobbling from and couldn't swing around without spooking them. Headed to a quota hunt tomorrow with a buddy.
