Fish Research Facilities

Post by MuleTrainGA »

Just looking for some advice. My name is Trevor Moncrief and I am a student of The Warnell School of Natural Resources at UGA. I am currently studying to be a Fisheries Biologist and hope to work on the Big Bend when my schooling is finished. I have grown up fishing this area and have started fishing the NFGFC tournaments since last year. That being said I hope to work on sustaining this fantastic fishery so that our future generations will have the same opportunities as I have. This summer I am in need of an internship consisting of doing fisheries research. I have applied to Mote Marine in southwest FL and talked to FWC about internships. Does anyone else know of a research facility in this area willing to provide work for an intern? I appreciate in of the help I may get from this.
