Looking for a contact

Post by Sir reel »

for Robbie Green (birddog). Either email or phone #. I've checked the ones I had and there was no joy on either one. If someone has a way to contact him I'd like to have it. Thanks

Bud

Thanks Chalk. Robbie indicated that you had forwarded the email. He's still wait'n on the other 19 folks. :o  :D

I apologize for taking up the bandwidth and forum space, but I don't know any other way to approach looking for something but to keep trying until something comes together. So far I've communicated with Breeders in Monticello, Ocala, Bainbridge, Albany, Birmingham, Virginia, and Iowa plus a bunch of time on the Internet doing searches. Some are only interested in selling to someone who will show the dogs to hopefully add to the reputation of their line. Prices have ranged from $1700 to $250 and deposits required for as much as 1 year in advance of a litter (or more) depending on the demand for their pups. A couple of breeders have deposits for the next litter (yet unbred) that total beyond what the normal litter size would be expected. Ten deposits, 8 pups, last 2 deposits carry forward to the next litter. I've come close a couple of times and met some good people in the process. Had a lead in Albany but the last pup sold the morning that I called. I'm not completely comfortable putting down a deposit on a litter I have not seen, especially with 6 months or longer to wait. The typical refund procedure won't allow a refund if you find something else or change your mind. Thanks for all the expressions of understanding and the help from all the folks on this forum. You folks really come through in the clutch. Still Look'n and will let ya know when I find a match.

Re: Looking for a contact (Contact Made)

After much searching and a lot of help and support from some fourm members I found a recent litter of AKC Brittanys in Chipley. We picked the pup up on April the 3rd at 8wks and brought him home. I had planned on getting another female but there was something in this pup that kept catching my attention. He is definitely his own dog but still tries to work with me pretty well. We've made some good progress with him responding to whistle, moving around on a lead, responding to "sit" and of course "NO". He's adjusted to the cats and they to him after a few confrontations. Thanks to all who provided suggestions and contact info. Now, does anyone have a starter pistol they don't want? :D
