I've been spooled by one at the bird rack, but that is out of kayak range...
Don't know if they are here yet, put it is possible

thanx for the post. i saw the guy from navarre post his catch this week but wasnt sure when it was caught. I didnt want to make the drive down there if they hadnt moved in yet.
Re: cobia at st. marks
me and a buddy paddled out to the rock garden from the light house yesterday and got caught coming back at low tide, it was a disaster. we walked 2 miles in the marsh dragging our yaks........in the pitch dark. another lesson learned. I wonder how many its gonna take. o well it sure was cool seeing those stars above and the bio-iridescence below.

Wow... Glad you didn't step on a sting ray, get cut up on shells, or walk up on a surprised or ornery poisonous snake or gator. I don't mean to be too critical but the tides and sunset are fairly predictable. Leave yourself an extra hour or more buffer when planning your time to make sure you are back at the ramp safely and not wandering around in the dark out there.

I know they are being caught around Port St Joe.

Rhettley is right...especially about sting rays. I fish the area close to shore between the lighthouse and rock garden. I see plenty of rays around there. I also saw a BIG shark on my way out of stony bayou at low tide one day. It was big enough to make a wake like a submarine behind it.
Glad to see yall made it back ok.
