Ecofina Friday 26th April Noon Trip
Got a late start, but wanted to get a fishing trip in this week, after chasing doctor's appointments all week, launched before noon. Ran North and wanted to target a couple of redfish. Got in position, picked up a rod with a new plug on it(highly recommended). Now you know your first cast never goes more than half the normal distance since the reel has to loosen up!! I quickly start winding the plug back in fast not expecting a hit, and this big red crashes it right off the surface!!! WOW, first cast, i'm thinking "this is going to be a good day!". I look down to reach for my net -- and it ain't there??? Now thats another story!! I worked the fish alongside, reached over with a towel and lifted him in the boat -- just under 27 inches!! Within ten minutes i caught and released another red (19") and a trout (24"). Stayed around for two hours with just two hits, and called it a day!

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
