We ran out yesterday, and were late on the draw and came up empty.

Boy, leave out details and here comes the tar and feathers.... Lol.
It was a short trip since its been blowing till 3 and I'm in a flats boat. Launched at Lanark and was suprised at the clear water at the end of the canal.... It was a little sporty through the sound, but got better as I went. Got out to 35 ft or so and put out two stretches 25 and a 30..... First 30 min were moving to the area I wanted to look around in... Then around 330 they started chewing! All gas except one short were 23-26"... Released 5-6 keeper gags... All grouper hit the pink 25.... Caught the king on red and white, but couldn't get anything on other colors.... Around 530 they shut down, but it was wild for 2 hrs by myself landing kings and gags decorated with 4x trebles.... I've figured out that those fish grabbers the kayaker use are great for landing gags. Gives much better control for getting lures out and doesn't hurt the shorts....
Found a couple new dandy ledges that are in jeopardy now that the water is getting warmer and clearer..... Although, by the time I dive ill probably already have a gag limit if they keep this up.... No such luck for the hogs....
Calm ride in on a great day!
