The 1st Annual Big Bend Kayak Classic was a great success, we had 95 anglers from all over the south eastern U.S. (South Carolina to Mississippi). The weighin was held at the 3Y Ranch, followed by a low country boil and crabs.
Results:
Overall Slam: John P. Chapman
Youth Divison: Clay McNamara
Largest Redfish: Brenda Bently-Brown
Largest Trout: Stephmen Yurkeevicius
Largest Bass: Joel Taylor
Lots of good fishing, lots of good food, lots of fun and and lots of good fellowship.
Hope you all join us next year.

Had a lot of fun and it was definitely a challenge against a very competitive field. Nice raffle prizes and good boil, too.
Also proves that Catch-Photo-Release format does work, as it has in the Tampa All-Release Challenge for more than 25 years.

Guess it isn't always about girth, length does matter!mpa_72001 wrote:i don't know if i would like that since the fish i caught this past weekend that won was an inch shorter than the 2nd place fish but was almost a half pound more.
