Carl Brown and I finally got a decent day to go fish today. We got a late start, didn't launch till 7 a.m. When we tried to start the kicker could not get enough power to the starter to get it to kick in. After about an hour trying everything we knew, I got the bright idea to take a jumper cable and go direct from the battery to the starter motor, it worked. We wentout to the bar in front of the lighthouse and started to cast, after about 30 min. I hooked a good fish, pulled like a red but when we got her close enough to the boat we saw it was a really nice trout, she didn't fight like a trout, never came to the top of the water. Got her in, she was 24", that was the only trout we caught for the day . We fished 5-6 different spots but no strikes. 2 oclock we decided to call it a day and headed back to Tally. Pa
