lanark 5/15
Got a late start Wednesday morning after a long 48 hours at work the gf ( who also worked all night she is a nurse on night shft) left camilla around 8 and headed for lanark. Made it down and hooked to the boat quick stop at lanark market for fuel bait and ice also live pin fish they have now ( great people who are always a pleasure to do businesses with) finally was on the water around 11:30 ran out to the first stop within the 9 mile state line first drop just short black sea bass. Abou that time fwc stopped by and checked us and of course we had left our license at home we had taken them out of the boat for our trip to the keys a few week's ago they ran our names and confirmed we had them and they headed off they were very nice. After that pulled up gags around 20" and then lost a great king at the boat after a good fight they were everywhere I watch a boat close by pull in two in the short time we were there. Not much love close in so I headed out up to 65 feet looking for red grouper caught some nice gags on live pinfish but no red.the grouper bite was as slow as I have ever seen even with live bait. The wind picked up and we headed to the hill. Ended up with grunts, bsb, and a few trigger fish. Not the best day on the water but was still nice to be there.
