Better late...

Post by Eerman »

Parents have been down from WV all week, so haven't spent much time on the puter. Dad and I went out to a local pond last Sunday. Really windy...spent more time fighting the canoe than fish. Still ended up with about 20 crappie between the two of us on some 3 inch grubs. Wednesday, headed to Lake Jackson, lost count. Started about daylight and caught bunches of small largemouth on topwater...guessing maybe twenty. That lasted until about 11. The bite died down so we switched to spinnerbaits. Landed probably ten more bass. Dad brought in a nice pike and a couple of large bream. Great day on the water. Consistent bite all day. Nothing in the way of size; but, you can't beat those feisty ones on topwater.
