Another good day out of Panacea

My buddy Dave has been visiting from Atlanta and he was ready for a day on the water.
The winds were blowing like crazy Friday AM so we waited til lunch to head out. It was still white-capping everywhere.
Not to long after we got out he caught the first trout...

That was the only trout for a long time... the water was DIRTY and it was Choppy. Not good conditions.
Tried a few other spots with limited luck and then hit the pay load. Caught +20 trout in very little time.
Key was fishing slow in about 6 foot water and using white or pearl baits so they could see them.
Ended up with a nice mess and Dave caught a big one- lots bigger than the photo makes it look.

We have my wife's nieces visiting and they wanted to go on a boat ride too so we picked them up about 5

Had a good time playing in the boat and a quick stop on Mashes Sands beach to look at hermit crabs.
Then finished up with Dinner at Posey's

Lord knows I love that place!!

Bman, you did and said everything RIGHT! With Posey's help that would be a RIGHT..RIGHT. They do a good job with seafood! Good to see all those curtain climbers/future fishermen! They looked like they had a great time.
