Didn't want to derail FishinFool's report on his productive Lanark trip, but Pa and OneFish's comments about classic wooden fishing lures made me think of this fine company:

Dr. Fred Hall (a retired Orlando vet, OneFish & Salty Gator) and his late son, Dave, started the company a few years ago. Fred continues to produce some beautiful fish-catching plugs, many of which are patterned after the classics of yesteryear. I've caught everything from reds to gator trout to snook on them (and haven't lost one yet to a toothy critter). The finish and hardware is first-rate and very durable. And if you've shopped some plastic lures lately you definitely won't get sticker shock by these hand-crafted beauties.

I've had good luck with the Ripper, Rat Dog and B-52.

Ha, guess I was thinking of the '80s band, B-52s. The correct lure is the B-29. Have also done well with the mini Hitchcock on trout and reds.
