Power Pro VS Spider Wire Invisi Braid

Post by Hollywood »

Hey guys I had a buddy of mine that recently switched from Power Pro to the Spider Wire Invisi Braid and he is claiming it is smoother casting and out cast power pro by twenty to thirty yards, has anyone on here ever had any experience with this product its getting time to put some new line on my reels and im thinking of switching any help would be great.

I tried it and HATE it! It comes apart above your knot and you have to retie it several times. It reminded me of wet yarn. I am sold on Power Pro. Someone gave me a box of Spiderwire at the beginning of the summer because I bought a couple of reels from them. I had it on a Stradic 3000 in PCB. After 2 days, I stripped it off and went to Half Hitch and bought Power Pro. Not trying to be a buzz kill, but I hated it.

Same here, I bought a spool last year, it started fading and coming apart on the spool this summer. I re-spooled with Power Pro last week.

I was in Kevin's a few weeks ago spooling up 3 reels with Power Pro. Somebody else who was also getting line recommended the Moi Moi Diamond braid over Power Pro to me, so I had Lin put on one reel.

I have to say that I like the Diamond Braid better for performance. It doesn't seem to wind knot as bad when you cast into the breeze. I am not sold on the baby-blue color of the line though.

I use Invisibraid on all of my reels and I love it. I use 15 or 20 lb and use about 3' of fluorocarbon leader.

Been using Ohero lately - no fraying or breaking at the leader like w/ powerpro. It's smaller in diameter per lb too.
