St. Marks Grouper diggin' 11/23/13

Post by Jhults11 »

With Noaa's inviting wave height forecast for saturday a.m....prior to game time we decided to give it a whirl. Old man, wife and myself left the fish camp at 730 into pure pea soup. Tried to catch live bait but just wasn't happening...8 pins in an hour is a complete waste  Saw a lot of other grouper boats headed out so we decided to join the party. Even saw Keyser rolling around in that century with twins :smt007 ...hope y'all whacked em! We hit a few spots from 25-35 and managed a few. Caught em first thing this morning and then the tide went completely slack and so did our bite...the gags we did catch were quality at 25" and 27"...wife had big fish honors today :D ! It was slick as snot all day...didn't run less than 35 mph all day! One of the best weather conditions iv fished in in a long dam time...Air temp 70F, water temp 65F, seas 0 ft...blue sky with fog. Ran in and was back to the dock in time to clean boat, fish, and floor it back to tally to watch FSU absolutely destroy Idaho...we want Bama :-D !!

 Had a friend off Steinhatchee that same day. Same flat seas in the back ground of his pics. They also enjoyed a good November grouper bite. Glad to see someone is catching fish and makin memories.

Also, nice to see the ladies get the biggest one once in awhile. :D
