World Record Slobs....2 Days Apart!

Wow!
I guess you don't mess with that one guy's record.

Caught muskies at my family camp in the Adirondacks...

My great-uncle Ralph (who taught us how to fish, gamble, etc...you know....that uncle.) caught a 42-incher when he was a teenager in the 1930s.
I grew up with that fish hanging on the wall of our camp.
Through the years, that fish has been the gold standard, and none of us ever came close to topping it.

As he grew old, he gave up fishing for various medical reasons. But on one trip to Florida, I convinced him to go on a trip.
We didn't catch a thing, and all I heard was smack about my abuse of the elderly for risking his life on such a dud of a trip.
Well we didn't catch anything, but the trip got his courage up to try again when he was at the family camp the next summer.
He pulled in a 45" muskie, beating his 60+ year record. He was always "the man".
